If you are thinking about living in Moseley Va or the Southern Midlothian Va areas this is the video for you. A large majority of our relocation clients end up purchasing a home in Moseley Va/Southern Midlothian areas because for them the pros outweigh the cons, and in this video we will go over the Pros & Cons of living in this suburb of Richmond Va.

Con #1 - Driving outside of the area. Traffic on Hull Street can be rough during rush hour and there are lots of stop lights along the way. This is the biggest con to living in Moseley, but everything is relative. You will get to see a video clip of what it looks like during morning rush hour.

Pro #1 - New/Newer construction homes are available. 9 times out of 10 when a relocation client of ours is exploring building a home, Moseley and Southern Midlothian are part of that conversation. This area is more recently developed and it's possible to have your next home built from scratch here.

Pro #2 - Moseley and Southern Midlothian's real estate offerings are cheaper (and newer) than the western suburbs of Richmond located further North.

Pro #3 - Hull Street has everything you need for daily living located along it. This is the main commercial hub for the area.

Con #2 - While Hull Street has everything you need, it might not have everything you want. There are better and more exciting commercial hubs located in the City of Richmond, Short Pump, and Northern Midlothian.

Pro #4 - The area is very family friendly with lots of neighborhoods offering very nice community amenities provided by the HOAs.

Con #3 - There are plenty of sections within the large master planned communities that feel very, very cookie cutter. Plus with many of the newer construction communities the lots are pretty clear cut and boring with a good amount of the backyards backing up to another home's backyard. There are exceptions to this rule .

Pro #5 - The area delivers highly rated school systems with one exception.

Con #4 - We go over some neighborhood specific cons.

Pro & Con - Development of this area is ongoing. There will be new roads, new schools, and new neighborhoods being constructed for years to come.
