This Meccano model of a steam excavator or mechanical digger is based on the 1929 super modelplan. Instead of the original Meccano steam engine of that era, which I do not own, I made use of the Kleinemeier 'sort-of' replica.
The model represents functional levers controlling the engine, hoisting, racking, slewing and traveling motions.
