WARNING **A carabiner should be attached to the eye of the Alpine Butterfly knot when it is being used for SRT configuration to ensure that there is no way that the knot could ever pull through that small ring of the friction saver!**

WARNING **When using a pulley with an adjustable friction saver to cinch around the stem of a tree (as shown in video), keep in mind that you could be slightly cross loading the carabiner which connects the pulley to the prusik loop, which is why I use a DMM Perfecto, which is a smaller length carabiner, which should reduce any cross loading forces.**

In this episode, I'll be explaining the benefits of using an adjustable friction saver as a cinching attachment point while chunking down a stem!

It should be noted that can be used by recreational tree climbers as well for use as a cinching anchor around a stem which can stationary or it can be raised or lowered as the climber goes up or down. The climber can pass limbs by using their lanyard while the device is quickly disassembled and then reassembled above or below the limb depending on the direction of travel.
