This video introduces you to Mr. Hideaki Takizawa, one of the most successful entertainers at Johnny's & Associates who inherited the business and expanded to his own business. He was born and grew up in Hachioji City in Tokyo. His parents are both Japanese; he has one older brother and one younger sister. When he was still a little child, his parents got divorced; his father left the family, so his mother had to take care of three children all by herself. He grew up in an economically underprivileged household. His family could not afford children's clothes, food, etc. So, children had to work part-time to help their mother's income.
As a child, Hideaki had no interest in the entertainment business at all; rather, he wanted to become a professional wrestler since he was a big fan of Atsushi Onita, a well-known wrestler in Japan/Asia. In junior high school, he tried to join a local wrestling organization; however, he was told that he was too short and his weight was too light. He was rejected.
Then, he learned about Johnny's & Associates; Hideaki researched to learn more about entertainment agencies/industries and paid particular attention to Johnny's. He applied and received a reply. His sister was a big fan of one of the successful groups and was so supportive of his going for it. She advised him how to dance and sing.
At age 13, thanks to his older sister's support, Hideaki passed the examination to get into Johnny's & Associates. And the rest is history. He became one of the top entertainers and he was also trusted to do some of the company's businesses as he requested. No child ever asked to do extra work to help the business side of the company, so CEO was impressed. Hideaki simply wanted to help his family, making extra money.
The CEO of Johnny's learned about Hideaki that he had a good business sense and has strong integrity, CEO promoted Hideaki to a more senior position that made Hideaki grow as a businessman as well. Hideaki was extremely busy singing, dancing, and acting but now he was busy taking care of the business as well. He was very responsible and innovative. The company grew under Hideaki's support. Eventually, he was given a Vice President position at the company. In such a way, he learned everything about the entertainment business, and eventually, he became independent, establishing his own business. Today, he focuses on growing his business and no longer works as an entertainer. Best of luck to him!
