Budgeting For Military Members: Barney Style - How To Manage Money In The Military

The money/personal finance talk isn't common and that needs to change! This time I'm doing something a little different! Growing up, I never had the money talk, and school never taught me any of these things either. It wasn't until I turned 18 that I started to take finances seriously and I did tons of research to lead me to where I am now.

Although I'm not financially free yet, this video is for all the young people out there that want to start getting into money. This video is also for all my military members out there that need to get their finances straight, you know who you are. I have personally spoken to quite a few buddies of mine in the military, and I've come to find out that many of them don't even have a credit score or budget. Many of them go paycheck to paycheck, and when financial hardship comes along, they're left in debt or having to ask people for money.

So my goal of this video is to give you guys the basics of budgeting and finances so that you can start tracking your money, and be able to plan ahead. They say that if you fail to plan then you plan to fail, and I think that statement is absolutely correct.

None of this is financial advice, nor am I an expert. This is just what I've done and it helped me out a ton back when I was moving out on my own at 19.
