Sun and Seals River Walk - Newburgh Beach is an attractive and relaxing beach with a seal colony. Located and easy to explore on the North Sea cost of Aberdeenshire, where the River Ythan flows into the sea, The seal colony is well established and you can see seals of all ages and sizes. The Seals are very inquisitive and will swim along the river to check out walkers on the opposite bank.

Let’s embark on a picturesque beach walk along a sandy shoreline with blue skies, rolling sand dunes, and a captivating seal colony in the distance. The sun hangs high, casting a warm glow on the golden sands.The air smells of salt and adventure as you step onto the beach.The horizon stretches endlessly, merging the azure sky with the turquoise sea and you can hear the waves lapping against the sand of the shallow beach.

Your feet sink into the soft, powdery sand with each step. Seagulls glide overhead, their calls echoing in the breeze.Tiny shells and pebbles dot the shoreline, waiting to be discovered.
Look up, and there it is—the vast expanse of cerulean above you. A few wispy clouds drift lazily, creating patterns against the azure canvas. The sun warms your skin, and you feel a sense of freedom under this boundless sky.

Ahead, the landscape changes—a gentle rise of sand forms the dunes, which if you climbed, would reward you with panoramic views of the coast. The wind shapes the dunes, creating ripples and curves that seem to dance, and cast shadows from the bright sun.

As you continue along the beach, your eyes catch a distant movement. There they are—the seals! A colony of them, sunbathing on the opposite beach. Their varying colours contrast against the sandy backdrop, and you watch in awe.
