It Must Be Love - Smith (May 1973) Don Murray Virginia Sandifur

Описание к видео It Must Be Love - Smith (May 1973) Don Murray Virginia Sandifur

Smith was a musical that some might argue was too clever for its own good. Some might say that it just wasn't very good, period, but plenty of people out there, reviewers included, found at least something to enjoy about this musical comedy which centered around a shy botanist (Don Murray, seen here with second love interest Virginia Sandifur) who one day finds his life turned into a musical comedy. This number, "It Must Be Love," does a pretty solid job of showing you what the general tone of the piece was: lighthearted, silly, cornball, and over-the-top. It closed after 17 performances. The music was by Dean Fuller, lyrics by Matt Dubey, and with book by Dubey, Fuller, and Tony Hendra. Neal kenyon directed, and Ted Thurston, Mort Marshall, Carol Morley, and David Horwitz co-starred. The poster art (though as far as I know it never officially graced a real window card) was done by the ever-talented Hilary Knight.

Taken from a live audience recording of the full show done in May of 1973.
