Oban Distillers Edition versus The 14 Year Old

Oban was one of our standout distillery tours in Scotland and I did manage to bring back some samples, the 14 Year Old, the Little Bay and the Distillery Exclusive that have yet to be enjoyed or reviewed. It seemed apparent to bring them out before they end up hidden amongst the rest of that forest of whisky and are forgotten. I decided to start with the 14 year old and put it up against the Distillers Edition. Now I had done a review of both of those whiskies a few years ago but was quite surprised when I tried them at the distillery. Now have the whiskies changed that much or has my palate because I was going through the "WOW factor". That was my motivation to try a shoot out with both of these iconic whiskies. The 14 YO was part of the six original "Classic Malts of Scotland" back in 1988 followed by the "Distillers Edition" launched in 1997. Without further ado let's take a seat and enjoy the video.
