Yusra Mardini shares a powerful statement to the UK government in the wake of their latest comments and policies concerning refugees. Yusra herself, fled Syria following years of civil war and undertook a journey no one should ever have to take which even saw her swimming alongside aa sinking boat for three hours just to survive. Yusra later made it to Germany where she picked back up on her swimming training and qualified for the Rio Olympic 2016 games representing the first Refugee team.
