I’ve talked a lot about the Verbal Behavior Approach on this channel, but what is verbal behavior, what is the verbal behavior approach? In short, it’s one of the many autism ABA techniques that happens to be an extension of Applied Behavior Analysis. And if you’re wondering what is applied behavior analysis, then that’s what we’ll be covering in this video as well. Autism research has come up with numerous methodologies to treat or prevent autism, and ABA and the Verbal Behavior approach are just two of the most popular. When going through autism training, professionals tend to work with one or both methodologies. Both autism strategies are super useful, and I happen to be a strong supporter of the Verbal Behavior approach.
