2020-11-03 Cubbie & Mei Xiang, Day 74

#PandaStory: As you (hopefully) read in yesterday's Zoo blog, Mei Xiang and cubbie have a routine during the day, but at night, anything goes. This video starts out with random scenes throughout the night of Mei Xiang grooming her ever growing boy who happened to be very sleepy, hence few vocals on his part ... she holds him upside down, uses her mouth and paws to reposition him, and licks & nibbles. Then starting at the close-up, we have cubbie resting by himself, then after awhile Mei comes in and takes him to room 3's playpen, where he won't settle down to nurse, so back into the den they come, and finally she is able to get him to nurse a bit ... and then in a routine familiar to those who have watched his nursing bouts for awhile, he plunks on the floor and starts vocalizing. At last he wears down, and they're able to rest together.
