In this lecture, I have discussed the different types of mandibular major connectors used in removable partial denture (RPD).

- Major connectors are a very integral part of a removable partial denture. They unite the two sides of RPD and inurn providing the cast partial denture with strength and rigidity.
- Major connectors can divided based on their design, and both, maxillary major connectors, as well as mandibular major connectors has different types of major connector designs.
- Mandibular major connectors can be divided into five different types, lingual bar, lingual plate, sublingual bar, cingulum bar and labial bar.
