16:9 ratio is the alias of Noah Elliott Perkins. While Noah’s other musical ventures, Los3r and geunf, generally incline on more rapid tempos, 16:9 ratio explores tranquility and delicacy, with a juxtaposing experimental angle. This project seeks to encapsulate dream-like states and distant thoughts through the heavy use of delay, field recordings, and eerie, yet calming synth passages. By organizing samples into unrecognizable forms, 16:9 ratio’s live setting establishes a free-formed atmosphere, presented as a moment of introspection with the listener. The constant glitchiness and experimental elements introduce moments of disruption, acting as breaking points within the serene ambience.
