Yosemite National Park’s ‘firefall’ arrived prematurely this year, with visitors able to witness the fiery phenomenon from as early as February 6.

The rare event, which happens around mid-February each year, sees Horsetail Fall lit up by the setting sun, giving the waterfall a glowing, lava-like appearance.

Footage captured by Marc Bouldoukian shows the vibrant ‘firefall’ in all its glory.
