In a few weeks time members of the 2nd Battalion The Duke of Lancaster's Regiment will start leaving Cyprus to return to the UK, Weeton Barracks in Lancashire. Up to 200 families and hundreds of individual soldiers have been packing up their homes and welfare teams are busy trying to make the move as smooth as possible. It won't be until late August that the whole camp is cleared, making room for 2 YORKS to arrive. Many are looking forward to the move seeing it as a chance for the battalion to go back home.
