NYC Subway: Queensboro and Queens Plazas

This film shows one of my favorite stations in New York City: Queensboro Plaza.

Queensboro Plaza is a double-elevated stations located in Long Island City, Queens, which is served by both the IRT Flushing Line as well as the Astoria Line. It is the only station in the system with A and B Division trains stopping on the same platform.

The station allows for some stunning views of (7) and (N)/(Q) trains from both the ground and the station platform.

Right next to Queensboro Plaza is a different station called Queens Plaza. The two are not connected, and the naming can be a bit confusing.

Queens Plaza is served by the IND Queens Boulevard Line, and the film shows some (E) and (R) trains at this station. Also shown is an (F) train, which usually does not stop at this station, but was rerouted via the (E) line at the time of filming, due to construction.

Enjoy!

Filmed on Sunday, 27th September, 2015.
