NORA discovers a group of Purge escapees and offers them words of reassurance. Some of the escapees, including Hope's mother, volunteer to help Snow and the others fight back the Sanctum, leaving Hope and Vanille to flee the area on their own. After witnessing his own mother's death, Hope is tramatized, but is forced to continue fleeing for his life. Snow, after recovering from a dangerous fall, continues onward to rescue Sera.
