Newfoundland Canada Tour Pt 3 - Gros Morne Blew Us Away!!

No tour of Newfoundland, Canada is complete without exploring one of Canada's greatest National Parks - Gros Morne. Covering 1,805 square kilometres on Newfoundland's western shore, is the UNESCO World Heritage Site and a Canada National Park, GROS MORNE is an amazing place. The landscapes in this part of Newfoundland will have you wondering where in the world you are!! Reminiscent of Ireland and sometimes like BC's West Coast, this East Coast wonder will always stand out in its own unique way for us!
In this week's episode, we hike Gros Morne to the summit for the most amazing views we have ever seen in person! The hike itself was definitely nothing to take lightly. It was at times gruelling, always mesmorizing and in the end was life changing. We are so proud that we conquered that mountain, although we were naïvely, less physically prepared than we should have been. After a day of rest and reflection, we hit the water and explore the iconic fjord in Gros Morne by boat. Although not technically a fjord any longer, as the pond has been cut off from the ocean, Western Brook Pond is another must-do when in Gros Morne Park!

We didn't film at our campsite, but we did camp at Gros Morne Park in Berry Hill Campground. This meant that we were close to all of the activities that we wanted to do in the park. We stayed two nights at Berry Hill and could have explored even more of Gros Morne trails and sights if we hadn't almost killed ourselves hiking Gros Morne on Day 1 in the park! LOL. But it was all WORTH IT!! CHEERS! 🥂
