Mozaico Flamenco presents "MOSAICS" which documents the History of Flamenco in Vancouver with important flamenco personalities and mentors to the artistic landscape of Vancouver Flamenco since the 1980s. This is a biography of Peter Mole, flamenco guitarist, who is credited for "creating the Vancouver Flamenco Scene" in the 1990s through his consistent effort bringing Cuadro Flamenco to the "Kino Cafe" aka "The Kino". From 1993 to 2019, Vancouver saw the rise of Cuadro Flamenco alongside the restaurant industry and at its peak in 2019, Cuadro Flamenco was in the restaurants on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday with multiple groups out on Friday and Saturday nights.

Peter Mole has contributed to Vancouver Flamenco since 1993 as a flamenco guitarist, accompanist and soloist. He has provided countless opportunities to flamenco artists including flamenco singers, generations of flamenco dancers and even other flamenco guitarists. Peter is
Peter Mole was born in Montreal, Quebec to parents of British-Irish ancestry and made his way to Vancouver, BC in 1993.

Background: Vancouver Flamenco as an art form began in the 1950s with an Argentine-Spanish bailarin named Angel Monzon, moving through the 1960s with up and coming flamenco guitarists Victor Kolstee and Harry Owen, and with the arrival of Spanish cantaores Jose Lara in 1967 and Angel Romero in 1970. The period we are documenting in a series of 5 MOSAICS documentaries are of maestros since the 1980s including Gerardo Alcala and Peter Mole, flamenco guitarists, and also flamenco dancers, Oscar Nieto, Rosario Ancer and Veronica Maguire.
