This program from The Heritage Series looks at steam locomotives in action at the 1990 National Railway Historical Society convention held at St. Louis, Missouri. Four mainline locomotives were featured at the convention, and all are seen here.

Norfolk & Western Class A 2-6-6-4 #1218 is seen pulling the Independence Limited from Louisville to St. Louis.

Cotton Belt 4-8-4 #819 is seen on its northbound and southbound runs to St. Louis.

Union Pacific 4-8-4 #844 pulled a round trip excursion from St. Louis to Findlay, Illinois.

The highlight of the convention was Frisco 1522's return to home rails as she pulled a round trip excursion to Newburg, Missouri, over the Cuba Subdivision.

A four locomotives are featured.
