A representative of the Arkansas State Police confirmed that the trooper attempted to make a tactical vehicle intervention (TVI, commonly known as a PIT maneuver).
The suspect brake-checked the trooper before fleeing on foot.

The suspect was identified as 50-year-old Antoine Sweezer of Little Rock.

He was taken into custody near Glenmere and Boyle Park and medically cleared at UAMS before being transported to the Pulaski County Jail.

Antoine Sweezer was charged with:

-Speeding more than 15mph over (CLASS C MISDEMEANOR)
-Reckless driving (CLASS B MISDEMEANOR)
-Criminal mischief (CLASS C FELONY)
-Fleeing on foot (CLASS C MISDEMEANOR)
-Fleeing in vehicle (CLASS A MISDEMEANOR)
Charged with a Misd. rather than a Felony due to the driver not driving reckless during the pursuit
-Driving while intoxicated (MISDEMEANOR)
-Refusal to submit to a chemical test (VIOLATION)
-Driving on a suspended license (MISDEMEANOR)
-Leaving scene of an accident (CLASS D FELONY)
-Public intoxication (CLASS C MISDEMEANOR)
-Trespassing (CLASS C MISDEMEANOR)
-Unauthorized use of property (CLASS B FELONY)
