Utilizing Compound Machinery for Hay Bale Production | HORSCH AgroVation Farm | FS 22 | ep #36

Welcome back to the HORSCH AgroVation Farm Timelapse. Yesterday, we completed the initial steps of mowing and drying the grass, and now our focus shifts to gathering the forage and transporting it to the designated storage area. Our aim is to store the hay in bales, necessitating the preparation of machinery for hay baling. Our primary component in this process is the CLAAS XERION 12.650 tractor, serving as the foundational element of our composite mechanism. Sequentially, we attach additional machines: a 16-meter-wide rake for hay raking into windrows, a baler for forming round bales, and a bale stacker, which we connect immediately upon reaching the field.
Utilizing this array of machinery, we tend to two fields, creating hay bales and arranging them into stacks on-site. Subsequently, we deploy a flatbed trailer truck to transport the bales from the field to the storage area.
With the hay safely stored in the shed, our attention turns to the smaller grass field adjacent to the cowshed. Here, we employ the KRONE BIG M500 mower to cut the grass, followed by the FENDT KATANA 650 forage harvester for selection and chopping, ultimately delivering it to the silo for fermentation.
Upon resolving the fodder requirements, our focus shifts to supporting the operations of our stone product manufacturing facility. To initiate a new stone quarry, we deploy the Caterpillar R3000H wheel loader to the designated site, commencing the extraction of crushed stone.
