The Center for Global & Area Studies at UD is committed to tackling the most profound questions and problems of our time. To help students and faculty gain a sharper understanding of the rise of Global Populism, its causes and implications, the Center has invited several speakers to campus. Part of the Center's Global Populism Lecture Series, Princeton University professor Kim Scheppele gives an overview of populism and examines Hungary, Poland, Russia, Turkey, Venezuela and Ecuador as models of the new illiberal constitutionalism.
