More coffee, at what cost? Aeropress XL Review.

Описание к видео More coffee, at what cost? Aeropress XL Review.

I've used the Aeropress XL for about 3 months now. In this video, I will take a look at how it brews in comparison to the original Aeropress, how it's held up to the rigors of a commercial setting, and analyze its use for the home or professional barista.

It comes with some pretty nice accessories. The more I use it, the more I especially like the brewing carafe. I said in the video I wish it were glass but on further consideration I am glad to have such a durable plastic one. It surely would have broken at the shop by now if it were glass.

So the inverted method: I did more testing and I do think I get more consistent results using it. I can see the danger of burns but it hasn't really been an issue. Be careful though if you use it around other people and keep it in a safe, stable place. The only time I've burned myself with the Aeropress was with the original when I flipped it but forgot to put a filter in the cap and it spilled over my hand! Oops...

I haven't taken it hiking yet, but I plan on making a short video about it and see how it goes. I think the biggest issue will be heating enough water for it. I didn't consider that when I said it's still quite portable for adventures. It will take a lot more fuel in my butane burner to heat enough water.

I plan on making some more videos about the XL. I need to experiment more with recipes in it.

Do you have a favorite Aeropress XL recipe? Let me know in the comments and I will try it!

Thank you for watching!
