This video is about the types of tea and the process of oxidation in tea production. There are 6 main types of tea - they are all SO different, but they all come from the same plant. How is it possible that all teas come from the same plant, yet they look, taste and smell so different and all have different health benefits and chemical properties? The answer is oxidation. This video explains what oxidtaion is, the chemical reactions that occur in the tea leaf and how these oxidation reactions can be altered by the tea producer to result in different levels of oxidation and thus in different types of tea. This is the 1st part on the series on the types of tea.
