The Krone KR180, KR181 is a pull-type, power take-off driven baler with a cylindrical baling chamber and a floating drum pickup. It creates a soft centered bale.

The baler is equipped with two hoses which connect to the tractor, two 2-way cylinders for opening and closing the rear door and one 1-way cylinder for raising and lowering the pick-up. The rear door cylinders have a "safety lock valve" installed between them and the tractor for locking the door open or closed.
