Rit Liquid Dyes (for natural fibers) in purple, teal, navy blue, fuchsia, and charcoal grey
[0:51] The Dyebath
300 g hawthorne presoaked in plain tap water
4 cups of water + 6 T white vinegar + 2 cups of water (6 cups total)
[2:46] Heating on an electric hot plate
[3:27] Adding dye to the yarn
Cover the yarn with foil while heat setting
Add even more acid after 8 minutes
heat for 20-30 minutes
[9:51] Flipping the yarn
Add a lot more water
[11:56] Adding a yarn mop
Dry skein of Hawthorne
[16:20] I melted my shower curtain
[17:44] The cooled off yarn
[19:12] Washing the yarn
