With all these ways of grinding credits in GT7, I figured I share my experiences in doing these grinding sessions in a fun way possible and what not better way to do it is by doing the notorious World Touring Car 600 Tokyo Expressway grind.

What makes this notorious is due to the AI car selection especially AI Ryota Kokubun's RE Amemiya RX-7 where it's so quick that its performance rating should be looked at whether it passes the 600 performance point restriction or not due to how quick it is. Due to how tricky it is to get a tuned car within the 600 performance point restriction, it led to most users having unique builds and what not that are good for this race.

In this grinding session I did, it made me wonder if the newly added Subaru Impreza Rally Car '98 can be viable for the WTC 600 grind regardless of how long it takes to complete. It ended up being viable and it's not overly quick also. As you can see both Kokubun and the Adam Suswillo AI were just way too quick for my Impreza to handle but on the technical sections of the track is where the Impreza delivers. The fuel consumption wasn't also a problem as with the fuel mapping setting at 1, it took me until the end of lap 8 where I had to box for a refuel enough to last the whole race and once Gallo did his second refuel stop, I was on my way to a win.

Overall this Impreza Rally Car '98 just has the right balance needed if you want to have some challenge to your WTC 600 Tokyo grind. It took me 27 minutes to complete it but I imagine if this was given to a better player it might be possible to reduce the time.

Enjoy the video and below are the things I did to the Impreza to pass the 600 or below performance point restriction and make it competitive enough:

- Added a Low RPM turbocharger on this Impreza then nerfed its horsepower by 90% via the use of a power restrictor. I also added 57kg of ballast on this car to reduce the performance points on this car.
- Adjusted the front downforce to 150 as opposed to 160 which was the default setting on this Impreza.
- Gave it Sports Hards and unfortunately that's about as far as I can go with the tire options but at the end I managed to get this Impreza under the 600 performance point rating requirement.
