Group 1 Daily Race on Monza Circuit. (Gran Turismo 7)

Welcome to a new set of Daily Races for this week and for this one I'll be covering this week's Daily Race C.

This is a 11 lapper race around Monza Circuit featuring the Gr.1 class. Racing Softs are used for this race and there's a mandatory pit stop rule meaning you'll need to box at least once otherwise you'll get a penalty at the end of the race.

After doing a couple of practice sessions and qualifying, I find the Toyota GR010 Hybrid '21 to be an optimal car on this track and for once I'm glad the GR010 is a viable car for a Gr.1 Daily Race as I have been waiting for this to happen.

Managed to snag pole position with a time of 1:33.223. Race starts and already I heard fireworks (not fireworks in a literal sense but a term used when some oofery happened at the back during a race) and its to be expected on turn 1 of Monza. Because of that I was able to break away from the opposition as early as before the end of the first lap. By lap 4 my gap increased further to 13-14 secs because my nearest competitor didn't do a good job of taking turn 1 well. I boxed by the end of lap 6 and due to my gap being so good, I took the chance of switching into a new set of softs and it paid off well as I was on route to my first win on this combo for the week.

Overall with the LMP1's KERS maintenance being adjusted by PD, it allows more options and not just the usual 919 Hybrid/R18 '16 for technical tracks or any Group C for high speed races. I enjoyed this race overall. Enjoy the video!
