At my second year at the Vienna Conservatory I found out, that it's all about JAZZ PHRASING. You may know all the scales, arpeggios etc to play a jazz solo, but if you don't know how to rhythmically put your phrases correctly, you will never sound like a real jazz guitar pro.

So in this jazz guitar lesson I will teach you the art of Jazz Guitar Phrasing. You will learn how to properly accent (stress) notes and where the hammer, pulls and slides fall.
In this Jazz Guitar Phrasing Lesson I will also teach you how to use triplets to sound more on a pro level than an amateur.
We will learn how to use alternate picking to add a mechanical component, that will help with the jazz phrasing.

I will teach you many jazz phrasing excercises for guitar and some triplet licks, of course using the jazz phrasing we've learned from the tutorial as well.

The kind of genre we mostly play today is modern jazz or bebop jazz. In order to sound like our bebop heros we need to learn how they put their accents and legato techniques. This lesson will teach you bebop phrasing for guitar.

After this Jazz guitar phrasing workout you'll get a feeling for it and it will be much easier for you to sound like the real deal.

I've given thousands of lessons over the years. But I find this the most important one. Because it just doesn't sound right without a good jazz phrasing. So please make sure to take your time for this lesson. It looks more easy than it is. It takes months to accomplish good jazz guitar phrasing.
