Pine Forest Thinning In New Zealand With 3 TMK 400's

We had an unique opportunity to visit our customer Thorburn Contracting Ltd in Taupō, New Zealand. They currently have five TMK Tree Shears (1x TMK 300 & 4x TMK 400) of which three were on use on customized Kobelco SK 140 SRL excavators. One more TMK 400 is also on its way for the fourth Kobelco undergoing Daniel's custom modification job, adding more suitable guarding for their forestry use. 😎👌

Some modifications can be seen on the shears as well where they have adapted them to be more suitable for their working conditions that include heavy amounts of pine needles and dirt that is almost like sandpaper. All machines run nine hours a day, five days a week. 💪🏻

The Kobelco's have received impressive fortifications once again to make them more suitable to the rough working conditions they face every day. The boom's main cylinder has a cover that prevents trees from hitting it, the cab has forestry guards added on the front and the back to protect it and the operator from any branches, the left hand side has also received some fortifications and finally the bonnet has been made more resistant to the pine needles as well as hydraulically operated to open. These are all designed and made by Daniel, who is the second generation owner of the company. 🤯

Meillä oli upea mahdollisuus päästä katsomaan asiakkaamme Thorburn Contracting Ltd työtä Taupōssa, Uudessa-Seelannissa. Heillä on tällä hetkellä viisi TMK Energiakouraa (1x TMK 300 & 4x TMK 400), joista kolme on käytössä kustomoiduissa Kobelcon SK 140 SRL kaivureissa. Tämän lisäksi heille on yksi TMK 400 tulossa lisää joka paritetaan jälleen neljänteen uuteen Kobelcoon, joka tällä hetkellä saa päälleen uutta peltiä ja suojaa Danielilta, joka tekee koneesta sopivamman metsäkäyttöön. 😎👌

Kouriin on myös tehty muutamia muokkauksia, jotka auttavat kovissa työoloissa, joissa havun neulaset aiheuttavat ongelmia ja maa-aines on kuin hiekkapaperia. Kaikki koneet ovat käytössä 9 tuntia päivässä, viisi päivää viikossa. 💪🏻

Kobelcot ovat saaneet isoja vahvistuksia, jotta ne soveltuisibat paremmin rankkoihin työolosuhteisiin, joita ne kohtaavat päivittäin. Puomin pääsylinteriin on asennettu suoja, joka estää osumia puilta, ohjaamoon on lisätty vahvat suojaukset joka suojaa kuljettajaa oksilta, vasemmalle puolelle keulaa on myös tehty vahvistuksia, ja kaivurin konepelti on tehty suojaamaan konetta männynneulasilta ja se on hydrauli käyttöinen. Kaiken näiden takana on Daniel, joka on yrityksen omistaja toisessa sukupolvessa. 🤯
