Les Twins × Yumi Kurosawa In the world heritage, Kyoto Kiyomizu-dera

LES TWINS (Laurent and Larry Bourgeois) , identical twin French street dancers who achieved three hundred million YouTube play views across the world, collaborated with New York based traditional Japanese Koto player, Yumi Kurosawa. They dedicated a collaborative performance exceeding genre, border and culture at Kiyomizu-dera, the world heritage temple in Kyoto.

Listed as the world heritage, the history of Kiyomizu-dera goes back more than 1200 years, and the temple is well-known for supporting various kinds of art in the past. This exotic live performance took place at night after closing doors to the public in 2015 August 2nd.

世界中にファンをもつダンスアーティストLES TWINSのお二人と日本とニューヨークで活躍される二十弦箏奏者黒澤有美さんにライブパフォーマンスを奉納いただきました。

映像は、その奉納ライブの模様と境内各所でのダンスパフォーマンスを、清水寺公式インスグラムで好評いただいている須藤和也氏の手により撮影・編集したもので、二十弦箏の調べとLES TWINSのお二人の身体表現が一体となったすばらしい作品です。

「ジャンル、国境、世代間を超えた新たな表現の創造と、その映像を世界に発信する」このプロジェクトに今回参加できたことは、当山にとっても大変ありがたいご縁となりました。
