In this series of videos, I'm going to go through my favorite guitar amp sims. In this video, we are going to look at the Friedman Dirty Shirley DS40 which is a plugin from the guys at Brainworx and is available on the Universal Audio UAD platform. The Dirty Shirley is based on a modded Marshall JTM45 and is fantastic at those clean to mid-gain tones. The Studio Rats are core band members Paul Drew on guitar/production/mixing, drummer James Ivey and Dan Hawkins on bass. They collaborate with singers and musicians to produce radio-ready songs.
