Check out “El Alfa” Pt. 2, a Dominican style beat named after and inspired by the hottest Dominican #reggaetonmusic artist, #elalfaeljefe, from the arrangement of his track "La Rama"!

El Alfa, also known as El Alfa El Jefe, is a Dominican rapper and the King of Dembow. Reggaeton, a Jamaican music style, often addresses social issues important to the Latinx community. Philadelphia, home to one of the largest Latinx populations, features the historic "Centro De Oro" or "Golden Block," known for its family-owned businesses, cultural organizations, and residents of Puerto Rican and Latin American descent.
Assistant Director Marcangelo worked vigorously to create the snare part inspired from "La Rama".

Director Mell took the bass drum part directly from the track and created a pattern around a syncopated dotted 8th note rhythm for the quints, complementing the downbeat-heavy snare & bass parts.
