Dr Tilli shares several pieces of advice since being diagnosed. She mentions that it is important to know your baseline state of health of your bones and recommends getting a DXA scan. It is also important to know if any family history of osteoporosis exists. DrTilli also says to avoid stress as much as possible, as well as the mindset that osteoporosis only affects older white women, since bone loss happens in the black community as well.
