Since high school, Andrew was in a band, sharing responsibilities and creative freedoms. Andrew spent considerable time in outstanding musical outfits, releasing fantastic music with bands like 'Animal Confession.' Andrew has reinvented and found himself again as a solo artist, maintaining that full band sound with skilled session musicians. Everything starts and ends with Andrew now; he's loving the creative liberty and the challenges this experience continues to provide. This project goes by the name 'Desert Stranger,' and Andrew brings all the knowledge gained from past experiences and the passion he has always possessed. Andrew Gharib, an Ottawa, Canada-based composer and performer, began playing classical piano when he was six years old. At the age of sixteen, he began playing guitar, which ignited his interest in songwriting. Maybe I'm Blind (2022), his debut album, delves into themes of cultural roots, privacy, and heartbreak. Andrew's performance at Ottawa's Bluesfest was an incredible experience, and he plans to return to that stage with hard work and dedication to writing and performing inspiring music. He released "The Futurist" in 2023, displaying a contemporary flair that brings forth a modern feel. On December 13th, 2024, Desert Stranger released a new single, 'Where Did I Go Wrong?'. The song's protagonist looks back at all the mistakes made throughout a relationship and is still shocked to find themselves alone and wondering...
