Is this the best hike in Snowdonia National Park? Traversing the Nantlle Ridge

Описание к видео Is this the best hike in Snowdonia National Park? Traversing the Nantlle Ridge

The Nantlle ridge is an underappreciated hike which involves breath-taking vistas, incredible mountain scenery, alongside crowd free peaks.

The challenging 11km route involves 870m of elevation gain, and should take between 4.5-8 hours depending on your ability.

The ridge is best hiked one way making use of two vehicles, starting in Nebo and finishing at Rhydd Du.

The highlights include the peak of Craig Cwm Silyn, the colossal trig point of Mynydd Tal-y-Mignedd, alongside the epic ridgelines of Trum y Ddysgl and Mynydd Drws-y-Coed.

Both peaks offer unbelievable panoramic views over Snowdonia national park, Anglesey, the Llyn peninsula, the Ceredigion coast, and towards Yr Wyddfa.

It’s also a great hike for introductory ridge walking and scrambling as the ridge’s non-technical and not very exposed.
