PMDO | Wishmaker Cave v0.2.5 | Plusle & Minun

I wanted to give this pair a try somewhere and I saw Wishmaker Cave had a new update, so two birds with one stone.

Wishmaker Cave's update (slightly) nerfed some of the enemy pokemon, so I wanted to see how it'd feel with some lower BST pokemon. Well, even if their BST isn't great it's not like I'm not using degenerate movesets on them anyway. Baton Pass also passing the effect of the crystal buffs really makes them last a lot longer than they should. Though it does mean when I accidentally use a drain crystal, liquid ooze becomes even scarier than usual.

They breezed through the lower floors but by the end enemy encounters still felt as dangerous as ever. Part of this came down to Plusle hitting a PP trap at a bad time, and having to be extra conservative with PP usage in the final floors because I wasn't finding as many leppas as I hoped I would. More reviver seeds than I could count though!

Rhyperior is easily the scariest pokemon for this team. Grass Knot is only 2 range and Rhyperior has a 3-range attack (Drill Run) as well as Rock Polish, so it's nearly impossible to close in on it OR escape from it without getting hit first, and it easily 1-shots me. Lost to this combo on my 1st attempt, but this time around it chose to just 1-shot me with Stone Edge instead!
