Neck spasms are incredibly common and can be due to either aggravation of the cervical facet joints or tightness of the surrounding neck and shoulder muscles. It typically presents with limited range of motion, pain, stiffness and guarding on movement.

We recommend getting your neck assessed properly by a musculoskeletal expert before trying these exercises to determine the working diagnosis as other treatments may be more appropriate and required to help initially.
