This video is dedicated to the memory of Geoff Woodford, G0KNM who sadly became a silent key last week.
In the mid 1980’s Geoff who at the time held the callsign G1SHQ was a great encouragement to me as I set about studying for the then City & Guilds Radio Amateurs Examinations.
His enthusiasm for all things amateur radio was infectious and was in no small part inspiration for me to get my own callsign. I shall never forget my first visit to his radio shack sometime in 1986; I was transfixed by what I saw and heard.
He was also an enthusiastic fundraiser for the West Midlands Air Ambulance, and I would encourage you to click on the link at the top of the description to see a photo of Geoff, and read a little of his amazing fund raising efforts.
