Icarus, in ancient Greek mythology, is known as the son of a craftsman from Athens named Daedalus. Daedalus, in his affection for his son, was pleased to make him wings from bird feathers glued together with wax. They were people who wanted to fly, and Icarus, really wanted to reach Crete (a beautiful island in Greece) with the wings his father made. This mythology also tells that the father had warned his son not to fly too close to the sun. Unfortunately, Icarus ignored his father's warning and continued to fly closer to the sun. The wax adhesive melted due to the heat, and the feathers on Icarus' wings fell off. Icarus fell and drowned in the ocean.
