Skiwelt 2022_23 - Hohe Salve Descent, Black 42, Red 45

From top of Hohe Salve there are a variety of runs towards Brixen, Hopfgarten or in this case Soll. There are 2 black runs heading in Soll direction, both starting from the same place but splitting slightly further down.
Heading round behind the restaurant the sign indicates Black 42 (00:15), but you can access the red runs to Hopfgarten this wa as well. The view at this point also sows off the lack of snow this winter.
To get on the Black keep to the right hand side of the piste as you pass the restaurant. The first part of the run isn't too steep until the point where the Red Hopfgarten runs head off to the left (00:50) which is where the first really steep section is. This steep section lasts until (1:25), where it flattens out a bit and the Black 42a carries straight on but we head to the right on the Black 42.
From here the run gets steadily steeper, and with the hard, icy conditions was very challenging.
Further down the Black 42a joins in from the left at about 2:45 and the run becomes less steep from this point.
At 3:40 the black run effectively finished and we join Red 45. Here you can Also head right onto the Red 43 at this point, keeping above the top of the Hexen6er chair you can see here.
The Red 45 continues straight down in line with the chair lift. Usually quite a nice run but again quite a lot of hard, icy sections making it a bit harder to ski. Arriving at the bottom at 7:20 you then have a choice of 4 lifts. The Hans im Gluck gondola to the right along with the Stockl chair. Straight on is the Hexen6er chair which would take you back to the start of the Red 45/43 runs. I head over to the riner chair at the left.
