Demo of the Casio SK-1 in original state (not circuit bent). The SK-1 is the first "toy sampling keyboard" and also the first of the Casio SK series. The 8-bit / 9,38 kHz sound is rather grainy - much worse than a 8-bit fairlight. But it sounds interesting, it is great for lofi sounds and noises.

With looping of very short samples interesting waveforms can be produced. I made use of this a lot in this video. Another source for new waveforms is the "harmonic synthesis", which allows you to add harmonics to a sine wave. The harmonics are always static. But there are some preset envelopes, which can shape the loudness.
