Sonic Blast (Silver Castle Zone) 16 Bit Genesis Remix

This is one of my biggest remixes so far and it has been very challenging making it. This remix was originally going to be released a lot sooner, but the original DMF file for the song was overwritten with another song on accident so i had to redo the whole thing from scratch. I'm sorry it took so long to finally be released but hope the final track was worth it for you all. :D

Most of this rendition is pretty similar to the original but I added some other sections and new things to keep it fresh since the loop is pretty short. I added some key changes, breakdowns, new melody's and all kinds of other stuff. actually the breakdowns were inspired by late 90s/early 2000s metalcore which I was getting back into recently and I thought would be neat to put a breakdown for the ending. I made the bass to be similar like MetaWinter's silver castle act 2 mania remix cause that does a good job keeping the loop fresh I feel like. check it out btw!    • Sonic Mania - Silver Castle Zone (Act...   I referenced almost every genesis era final level in this track. Launch Base, Death Egg, Panic Puppet, Scrap Brain, Sky Sanctuary, Gene Gadget The whole shebang. Overall I'm super proud how this came out it sounds so mechanically orchestral. I'm not sure how I'm gonna top it in act 2 but I've got plans.

for the insturments I wanted a BIG orchestral type sound so I used some brass insturments to give that castle feel and to further that vibe I used some CastleVania insturments. I sacrificed 2 channels for the orchestra/brass insturments and added 1 channel of psg playing the parts 2 octaves higher, and the arpeggios are done with the psg and one Fm instrument panned to the right playing the arpeggios an octave higher to give a really powerful punch. and to build the atmosphere I used the Hydrocity lead instrument but played the lowest B note on the keyboard to have that dark droning pad sound to glue it all together. I also used some death egg insturments, mainly the bass cause you cant go wrong with it lol. The drums are the sonic 3 ones with a mix of sonic 2 and some other genesis games. Sonixthesuckydoo said this zone is basically a perfected version of the death egg so I could of just went full death egg for this track but I wanted to do more than that so I tried to make it sound big and orchestral cause that's how I felt the original composition could greatly work with if that makes sense lol I wanted to combine all the genesis final levels into 1 track for that ultimate sendoff to the classic sonic trilogy.
