Young maidens go to river to fetch water. On the way back Krishna confronts them, plays mischief. Radha threatens that she will take revenge by dressing him as a girl, play Hori and smear him with colours -- Phag. This is followed by the celebration of Holi - in keeping with the spirit of the season. In Hori, Krishna, the very embodiment of Basant plays Holi with Radha and the sakhis with gay abandon in a riot of colours dancing with ecstasy culminating in a crescendo. The composition is set to Raga Bahar and Teentaal.
