Gibson L-4

Описание к видео Gibson L-4

rst introduced in 1912, the Gibson L-4 is a 16" powerhouse that has supported everything from big bands to folk trios over the decades. This example hails from ca. 1920, and has been dated based on appointment; slanted "The Gibson" logo indicates 1920 or earlier, and absence of a truss rod which was first introduced in 1921. Single bound peghead, bound fretboard with pointed end (treble side binding has been replaced), back/sides, diamond-pattern rosette, red mahogany sunburst. Original hardwear intact including tailpiece with pin bridge, rosewood bridge (feet have been shimmed), newer bone nut. Tuners have been replaced with 1930's era three-per-plate.

A supreme player, the action and playability is excellent, and the tone is dry, and mature.
