1996: Washington Redskins vs New England Patriots Remastered NFL Highlights

The '96 Redskins earned a statement win with this October upset over the Patriots in New England. Norv Turner faced off against former Redskins nemesis Bill Parcells for the first or two times during his tenure in Washington (Turner won both), defeating a New England team that would regroup and roll on to an AFC Championship season in 1996.

Henry Ellard had a monster day for the Redskins, while Gus Frerotte threw a pair of touchdowns and Darrell Green had a key third quarter interception in this game dominated by Washington though most of the second half. The Redskins improved to 5-1 in the early going in 1996 and established themselves as a competitive squad that, on their better days, could compete with (and beat) any team in the league.
