American Pageant

Composed for the 1973 inauguration of President Richard Nixon - and performed at all U.S. presidential inaugurations since - American Pageant combines several of the nation's best-loved patriotic tunes including America the Beautiful, Yankee Doodle and Battle Hymn of the Republic, among others. Originally written for wind band by long-time Marine Band composer/arranger Thomas Knox, American Pageant has been skillfully arranged for brass band by Michael Gallehue, music director of the Ohio Valley British Brass Band (OVBBB). Recorded April 28, 2013 by the combined OVBBB and Brass Band of Columbus at Fairhaven Church, Centerville, OH.
