Flowerstick/ Devilstick Tutorial #7 (The Wave)

Ick-Tack with only one handstick! Short after you have learned this trick, a huge gate opens, and You discover, that this is only the beginning, and not the end of the way :)

IMPORTANT: You only need one handstick, which you hold in your better hand. You don't need the other one, it will just get in the way at the beginning.

How to do it:

STARTING POSITION: Just as in the One-handed spin, the flowerstick lies crosswise on the ground in front of you. Under one end of the flowerstick is one of your handsticks which you hold in your better/ stronger hand (you don't need the other handstick).

1.) TIC-TAC with one handstick on the ground: You lift the handstick and tilt it over the flowerstick to the other side, where you stop it with the same handstick. As with the regular TIC-TAC, try to follow the movement of the flowerstick. Don't hit it, but dynamically guide it with the handstick. You know you are doing it well when the contact between the sticks is – almost - absolutely continuous. Try to follow it all the way. You will be rewarded.

2.) TIC-TAC with a handstick in the air: Once you are confident with tilting on the ground, start to lift your hand with the handstick in it and continue the same movement in the air. Try to play as close to the centre of the flowerstick as possible. It will be slower and easier to handle.

3.) Helicopter with one handstick: When you are confident with the TIC-TAC with one handstick, add the same push-pull motion as with the regular Helicopter. This time, however, it will be more challenging as you only have one handstick.
