The One-Year Aftermath - Retail Horror Story - Feat.

Описание к видео The One-Year Aftermath - Retail Horror Story - Feat.

Posting anything online can sometimes be a big gamble. Something that you personally feel will be very good and have a positive outcome, can sometimes result in many unforeseens. This was the case with a crossover video I did back in August of 2021 with friend/fellow YouTuber, ‪@nzardoin‬. For this video, we traveled to a local hobby shop that I've gone to since my childhood, and we made a vlog of our time there. Within the next day, the video was uploaded to YouTube, and only a week later sketchy activity started to occur at this hobby shop. For legal reasons, I have blurred certain parts of this video, and this hobby shop is not named by me either.

The video we had posted attracted a lot of scalpers to the store, and they came there to purchase many of the under priced items. The main target was massive amounts of discontinued Thomas & Friends items which Zack and I had shown in our crossover video. Scalpers had traveled hundreds of miles to purchase hundreds of dollars worth of these discontinued items, and cleaned out most of the stock in less than a year. This activity soon resulted in the hobby shop marking up the prices on these items, although this happened well after the scalpers had cleaned out all the good stuff. Not only had prices increased, but apparently the way the shop treated it's customers had changed as well.

At one point, I myself was even accused by the employees of buying under-priced items just to turn around and on sell them. That was the final straw for me after everything else that had occurred in the last year. The way I was treated that day will guarantee that my time going to and purchasing items from this hobby shop is over. I've since found 2 other hobby shops in my area that are far more deserving of my business, and I've also found better local places to spend my time now. Eighteen years of doing business at this hobby shop apparently meant nothing when it was all said and done.

I do not care if this retailer finds this video either. They need to get their act together and realize that the way they're operating their shop is not acceptable. They have no right to accuse loyal customers of something such as scalping, just because they let other dishonest people walk out the door. I've heard numerous complaints about this shop over the years that I've been going there, but I've always looked past them. I can tell you right now, I'm starting to understand what other people were saying.

My message to anyone creating content on YouTube, is that if you come across a goldmine like Zack and I did, don't say anything about it. The only thing our video did was attract dishonest people to this hobby shop, which resulted in numerous conflicts. I would also strongly advise my viewers agents engaging in activity such as scalping. It's not right, and it honestly disgusts me that this activity was the result of the crossover video Zack and I made. Sadly, the scalpers were the only ones who got exactly what they wanted...
